Heavy armor offers the most protection in the game, featuring full-body plating that makes it extremely difficult to damage with standard bladed weapon strikes. To reliably land a hit with a bladed weapon, you must use the half-sword stance. As with other armor types, blunt weapons completely ignore the plating and will always land their hits.
